Galerie Martin Suppan, founded in 1974 by Martin Suppan, is one of the top-rated Viennese galleries dealing with first-class art of the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as selected contemporary artists. Throughout these years, it has organized over 200 exhibitions, starting from solo shows via curated thematic group exhibitions up to large retrospectives for Marie Egner, Alfred Zoff, Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller, and many others.
The gallery exposes its program not only on site but also off-site, with programs that include already renowned locations such as the Belvedere 21 Museum and the Albertina Museum in Vienna, along with other international locations like the Austrian Cultural Forums in New York and London. Galerie Martin Suppan is also operates an in-house publisher, SUPPAN EDITION. To this day, it has issued more than 50 publications—catalogue raisonnés and artist monographs.
The gallery has participated in major international art fairs, including Art Cologne and Vienna Contemporary; it has thus been able to create a large network of curators, collectors, museums, and artists. This network allows them to assume major curatorial and advisory roles in the organization of important museum exhibitions and the creation of significant corporate and private art collections.
