About Hanselmann

For over 125 years, Café Hanselmann in St. Moritz has been a bakery and café with a tradition of baking. Founded in 1894 by Fritz and Theresia Hanselmann, this bakery has a long history that began when this couple, who originally hailed from Southern Germany, opened their establishment in the Elvezia house.

Hanselmann

This café originally gained much attention due to customers from the Kulm Hotel and the residents of St. Moritz, in which it happens that a number of famous individuals were included. It became one of the more famous places by 1928, during the Winter Olympics, when some of the guests were royal dignitaries and other famous people.

Even though Hanselmann has gone through numerous trials, one major renovation problem in 1973 nearly shut its doors; this bakery never lost steam and continued to move forward. The business had been dedicated to using high-quality ingredients with an eye for detail to create the finest bread possible.

Today, Hanselmann has grown to be a living legend of a business that spans a century, flavored with dedication, joy, and success. Its long-running legacy tells a tale of tradition and excellence, where the passion to provide extraordinary baked goods to patrons never seems to fade.
