Translation Station was established in 1998 and is based in Atlanta. The company offers a full-service translation package to a wide variety of clients in quite a few industries. Specialized in more than 200 languages, Translation Station provides translation, interpretation, simultaneous, voice-over, and video remote interpreting. Clients are from a wide range of sectors, such as law and medicine, social services, law enforcement, international business, and various technical areas, which are testaments to the complexity and specialization that the company is able to handle.
The company's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction alone sets it apart from the competition. Even while working in an extremely fast-paced, technologically advanced environment, Translation Station still keeps its approach to customer service very traditional, relying heavily on relationship building and effective response to the needs of clients. For this reason, each project is given personalized attention, whereby the translation or interpretation process is said to meet the individual needs of the client at hand and also extends its services to graphic designs and complex formatting if the need arises.
Phyllis Stallman, the founder and president of Translation Station, is a pioneer in the Atlanta language services industry. After living abroad and working for many years in New York City, when she moved back to Atlanta, Stallman saw an increasing need for quality language services. Her training in employment for refugees and recruitment of multilingual officers in all police departments in Atlanta brought her face-to-face with the shortcomings of the available language services, thus inspiring her to start Translation Station to fill that need.
Many of the translators, interpreters, editors, and proofreaders are professionals native to the language in which they work, accredited via leading organizations such as the American Translators Association. Especially, interpreters have extensive experience and training for court services, medical facilities, schools, social services, and conferences. Translation Station seamlessly melds technical expertise with a people-centered approach that is built on quality customer relationships.
