Founded in 1996 as PPR Talent Management Group, Hueman had its modest beginnings in a spare bedroom. It first experienced great success in the recruitment of travel nurses but restructured after the economic decline of 2008. Now catering to shifting customer demands, Hueman transitioned into offering RPO services and laid the bedrock for growth with value-centric partnerships. It was a strategic turning point that set Hueman on its trajectory to industry leader for recruitment specialists.

Hueman People Solutions officially opened for business in 2016, with the headquarters located in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Through a people-focused approach to business, positive workplace culture became a reality, which consequently yielded an environment of high employee engagement and outstanding performance. In fact, Hueman has been carefully aligning its core values with the BHAG of becoming the best place to work in the nation to create outstanding employment experiences for both clients and candidates.

Hueman's growth is the product of innovation and a commitment to excellence. At the end of 2018, the company employed over 100 staff and added a new office location in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The growth continued: by 2020, it had more than 200 employees. In 2024, Hueman achieved another milestone, having more than 400 recruiters and joined forces with PrincetonOne, an RPO company specializing in industries such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, and manufacturing. This transaction also extended Hueman's service portfolio and added to its industry expertise.
