Leslie Goellner brings her more than 20-year-long experience in hospitality to The Antler Room. She began working in hospitality while attending the University of Missouri-Kansas City and bartending at Room 39. After working for some other prominent Kansas City establishments, Leslie took her talents to New York with restaurateur Danny Meyer and then to San Francisco with the Delfina Restaurant Group. Returning to Kansas City, she teamed up with her husband, Nick, to build a room that expresses their common vision for great food and hospitable service.
Nick Goellner's formal training began at the French Culinary Institute in New York, but he considers his professional foundation to be worldwide. His career has spanned time in Europe exploring various cuisines, not to mention his time working with world-class chefs: Alain Allegretti in New York and René Redzepi at Noma in Copenhagen. Nick completed additional work as sous chef at Boulevard in San Francisco before taking the reins back in Kansas City to open The Antler Room. His talent and commitment have garnered him three nominations for the James Beard Foundation's Best Chef: Midwest award.
