After joining the firm in 1946, Harold Tivol, Charles's son, brought this legacy forward. With specialized training from the Gemological Institute of America and tempered by service in the U.S. Army Air Corps, Harold led TIVOL to trusted-name status in fine jewelry. Under his direction, the company grew and added a second location on the Country Club Plaza in 1951. Harold was recognized for his contributions to the industry by being named to the National Jeweler Hall of Fame and receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from Modern Jeweler.
The family tradition in business continued with Harold's daughter, Cathy Tivol, who took over as its third-generation leader. During her tenure, the TIVOL expanded with a second location at Hawthorne Plaza in 1994.
